A world class Medical centre - a sharp deviation from the usual norm of a typical Ghanaian service provision by public facilities or institutions being a Ghanaian myself! The environment is serene, very clean and therapeutic. Service delivery was top notch at the emergency unit specifically the radiology department.

Visited in March and the service was superb. From calling to remind me about review sessions and following up on appointments, the staff were ever ready to help. They provided a conducive environment for recovery. Grateful to Mirabel Gyasi and the other staff members for their patience and attention to detail. Mirabel took personal interest to ensure that I recovered on time.

Had a glucose exam done as part of my vitals in room 003 by Nurse Joyce. She jabbed two different fingers to conduct the test and did not wipe either finger with alcohol or a disinfectant before doing so. Completely incompetent on health and safety and I’m not even sure she used clean needles to conduct that test. I would never go back there even if my life was on the line. Completely disorganized and no clear sense of direction in that so called hospital

Unfortunately, UGMC's service quality appears to be declining, with emergency patients not receiving timely attention.
There are too many nurses who seem to be doing only the minimum required. I've had two births there; the first experience was excellent, but the second fell short of expectations.
Recently, a friend sent her baby to the emergency. They left him unattended to due to network/machine not working. She had to leave to a different facility.
