Maple Leaf Hotel isn’t the kind of place that stuns you when you walk in. It’s modest, functional, and carries the feel of an establishment that knows its limits. The rooms are simple, the amenities basic, and you won’t find luxury finishes here.
But what this hotel lacks in flair, it makes up for in character. The kitchen quietly outperforms itself. Every meal, even the complimentary breakfast, comes well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, which you don’t always get in places twice its price.
The staff are the hotel’s strongest asset. Warm, conversational, and genuinely attentive, they create an atmosphere that feels more like visiting family than checking into a hotel. The Korean manager sets the tone himself; welcoming, approachable, and clearly invested in making guests feel at ease.
In the end, it’s the human touch that makes Maple Leaf worth considering. It won’t wow you, but it will leave you well-fed and well-treated. Sometimes, that’s a better story to tell.

staff was okay however this hotel needs improvement in terms of amenities and cleanliness. Some amenities are old and need replacement and I saw a tray with an already finished food on it left in the hallways for the 2 days I was there, it was very untidy and disgusting to see this can help breed roaches n mice

Cons:
Old furniture and air conditioner, they don’t empty your trash can until you finally check out, you don’t even get table water, no telephone or food menu in your room. No tutorial as I checked in, they just left me and I had to call them to ask for some basic info.
Pro: Breakfast

I’ve stayed at several hotels in other countries and this has to be one of the most dated hotels that I’ve ever stayed in. The furniture in the room needs to be replaced to something more modern. Water from the air conditioner kept leaking on the floor. The balcony area should be fixed up, it is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The bathtub had rust inside of it and there was also rust around the toilet and the lighting was very dim. Some of my towels had holes in them, and there was also a dead roach in my bed. The room also has no microwave, but there was a dirty refrigerator that I cleaned out myself with some antibacterial wet wipes that I brought with me on my trip. Also the staff should work on their customer service skills!!! Start by smiling more and making your guests feel welcomed. The best thing about this hotel for me was the location. The only thing that got me through my stay was coming to the room late at night to rest my head after exploring Accra all day. I would highly suggest that the owners renovate the hotel rooms.
