They secretly gave me an oxytocin induction when I arrived at the labor ward during my labor on the 22nd of September 2023 to speed up my labor even though I never needed it or consented to it and my doctor didn’t recommend it either. When I saw them injecting it into my drips, I asked but they just brushed me off and said it was a drug that’s supposed to boost my strength when it’s time for me to push but they never told me the name of the drug. They didn’t even allow me to see the packaging of the drug. I was managing the pain until I couldn’t manage it anymore and started screaming about 10mins after they injected that drug into my intravenous drips. They tried so hard to shut me up and even refused to call my doctor for me when I asked them to cos initially I was planning a possible CS with him so at that point I wanted to opt for that instead. They didn’t even record it in my book that they had induced me with oxytocin during my labor so even though I knew I was induced, I didn’t have any evidence until recently when I chanced upon a receipt of payment for drugs they made my husband buy at the hospital during my labor and there it was. Oxytocin was part of the drugs my husband bought that day. I was also given cytotec immediately post delivery to help with bleeding so I know the oxytocin was given to me during my labor in a shady way to speed up my labor and reduce their work load and not to manage bleeding post delivery. They also took turns stealing the medications my husband bought with the excuse that another patient needs it urgently and that they’ll replace it as soon as possible but never did and instead made me pay for the lidocaine they used on me to suture my tear cos they forgot to add it to the prescription my husband bought. They even guilt tripped me into leaving the remaining drips and medicines that I paid for to them and their excuse was that I didn’t need it anymore since I’m getting discharged and it might save a life. The hospital is very ultra modern and very well equipped and I’ve always had a nice and excellent experience with the hospital until I encountered the labor ward. The experience was very traumatic and the midwives were very rude and I honestly regret ever going there to deliver my baby. I would choose it again but this time in a VIP birthing ward if I’m guaranteed a different experience from what I had the last time at the labor ward

The infrastructure and tools in this hospital are top notch, but the staff are of poor ethics.
I went to this hospital for an eye check-up, and met a doctor who said I should get a scan. She told me neither Ridge nor even Korle-Bu have the tools for that scan, and so she wrote the name and address of a certain hospital in North Legon for me.
Lo and behold, upon my arrival at that hospital, I met the same doctor who referred me from Greater Accra Regional Hospital, sitting for consultation in this new hospital. She charged hefty sums and gave me shady receipts.
Imagine my shock and disappointment when this happened 💔💔

Very modern hospital with state of the arts facilities. Very clean and organized space. I was there for the first time and was very impressed. The nurses and doctors are so friendly and jovial. This is actually my first time experiencing this kind of gesture from Ghanaian health workers. Security guards are ready to help and direct you to the various wards. Visiting hours ends after 6pm so be sure to get there earlier if you’re visiting a patient here.
Parking space is not a problem at all.

The noise about this hospital in Greater Accra was in deed worth it. It’s a state of the art health center with modern equipments and machines for patients. It’s serving the people of Ghana well as its living it’s relevance.

VIP delivery room for normal delivery was great. Staff were amazing.
However, there is only one shared washroom.
The washrooms at general OPD need HELP... it's a sorry sight
