Hi Royal Nick Hotel, your competitors like Movenpick, Accra City Hotel, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel and Oak Plaza have all committed to ending the cruelty of battery cages in their supply chains. Why are you lagging so far behind the industry standard? #CageFreeHospitality

I’ve been staying at Royal Nick Hotel in Tema, Ghana for the past few years, and I’m truly impressed with the marked improvements in every aspect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable stay.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The food quality is consistently good, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Indian food is available on request, which is a big plus for me.
The hotel is very affordable and offers great value for money. It’s clear that they are committed to enhancing the guest experience, and I look forward to many more stays here. Highly recommended!

Genuine review: I was visiting Ghana on a business trip for 2 weeks. I was recommended the Royal Nick hotel.
On first impressions the staff where very welcoming, the hotel and amenities however where lacklustre in comparison to similarly priced hotels in the region, including hotels on the beachfront (real4 star hotels)The building is incredibly tired and needs major refurbishment, the room I was in had a broken window, a balcony where you could hear the water pipes making a racket through the night like a ghoul was living in the walls and a lift that I was stuck in for 5 minutes as it stopped working between floors.
To be completely honest, the rating of 4 star is vastly unrealistic, I wouldn’t classify this hotel as a hotel with stars. The restaurant is incredibly overpriced for the food it serves and on a few occasions, the bar staff intentionally overcharged me thinking I was unaware of his intention. The pool is not accessible either.
I am fortunate to spend more time in Ghana this year on a regular basis however will not be revisiting the Royal Nick sadly. The price is not comparable with their offering.

I would like to share my experience with this establishment, which I believe is not accurately represented as a hotel. The pool is currently under construction, and the premises seem largely vacant. Moreover, the elevators are not working, the air conditioning in the rooms is not adjustable, and there are problems with the bathroom fixtures. Room cleaning and towel changes are only provided upon specific request. Furthermore, they do not provide invoices. The food quality was, in my opinion, not up to par. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience. The only reason for choosing this location was that the Allisa Hotel was fully booked, and it was the nearest option to my work site. On my last day, I booked into another hotel because I could no longer tolerate it. In the lobby, the same song played loudly every three minutes for two minutes, which was a nerve-wracking experience. They offered airport pick-up services at a higher price than other companies. There were only seven television channels available, and all had a very poor signal quality. As for the internet, it was practically unusable. While internet access was available, nothing would load, and uploading was impossible. They kept promising assistance, but it was not provided.
